The magic world of Harry Potter
My love for the world of wizards and witches goes to childhood fairy-tales, when the trees were tall, the phones were not mobile, but landline, and to get the books we had to go to the library, and not to download from the Internet. So when Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone book came out I read it right away and felt in love with it. A beautiful fairy tale with concepts as friendship, loyalty to their word and honor, it reveals in more detail than most other books!
Harry Potter is the main character in the novels of JK Rowling. He is a young wizard who has repeatedly defeated the main dark magician Voldemort, as well as the only one who stood up in all eight battles that occurred on the pages of works. Harry Potter, to this day, is extremely popular throughout the world. The boy attracted millions of fans with his character, which neither his abusive guardians could break, nor could the heavy burden that fell on Harry’s shoulders – the fight against evil. Harry is kind, brave, capable of self-sacrifice. He is an excellent friend, ready to help everyone who needs it. At the same time, he has a strong character: after losing his beloved godfather, he acquires a grim determination in his actions. True, he also has shortcomings: isolation, modesty, secrecy, the desire to solve problems alone, without relying even upon his close friends.
Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone
The first part of this magical epic “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” was published in 1997. The book describes in detail the beginning of this story. The insidious villain kills the parents of the newborn Harry, but disappears when he tries to kill the baby. Harry is taken and left with relatives, where he is brought up for the first 10 years of his life. He does not have a sweet life with relatives, as they are abusive and determined that Harry not follow his parent’s path in life. At the same time strange things happen to the boy from time to time: suddenly the hair that has been forcibly cut off regrows, and it turns out that he can talk to a snake. At age 11, he learns the true story of his birth, learns that he is a wizard and he will receive knowledge and training in the magical school of Hogwarts. He is just happy about this prospect. This novel is devoted Harry’s first year of study at this school.
When I started the book:
Reader’s reviews of “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone”
It is amazing that not only children but also adults loved Harry Potter. Reviews about books are often written not by teens, but by well-established people. Many admit that it is strange for them to read a children’s book, but nothing can do about it with temptation. “Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone” is a book whose reviews often begin with the recognition that the parent just wanted to know what his 10-year-old child is so passionate about. And after an hour I could not tear myself away. Many people are sure that they will not like this kind of reading, and … are mistaken! At least, no one is indifferent. From the first lines carries an interesting story, author’s fantasy, worldly wisdom, with the help of which it becomes easier for a child to explain some truths. In addition, this book teaches discipline, respectful attitude to elders and the fact that every mistake can be corrected. That’s why the book is so useful for teenagers.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
In 1998, JK Rowling released a second book from the series about the young wizard. The review of the book “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” immediately reassured all admirers – the second book is no worse. The second novel begins exactly on the day when the hero turns 12 years old. It was summer, and Harry had not a single letter from his faithful fellow students. The boy is worried, and then the uncle, from whom he lives, demands exceptional submission and respect. A sudden guest appears in his room – Elf Dobby, who warns him against returning to Hogwarts, because there he will be in danger. However, fearless Harry does not obey, as he already considers Hogwarts his true home. The second year of study at the school of Wizardry and Witchcraft is no less intense than the first. This time the main characters will have to investigate the mysterious attacks on the students. It goes so far that Harry himself becomes a suspect. He needs to prove his innocence and enter into confrontation with the forces of evil.
Impressions of readers about the book “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets”
High ratings from readers and critics received the book “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.” The reviews of most Rowling fans are devoted to the fact that if the first novel teaches many things at once, then this one is exclusively devoted to the feeling of devotion. Friends, your word, principles and ideals … A deeper review of the book “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” notes that with the maturation of the main character, the language of the narrative changes. It becomes more mature and complex. For many readers who leave their impressions about this novel, it is the second part of the adventures of a young wizard that becomes beloved. Many people were fascinated by the basilisk that appeared in it. Readers admit that at night he even appeared to some in a dream, but this did not in the least upset them. At this age they like to tickle their nerves. Also in credit to the author was the appearance of new bright characters. In addition to the basilisk, this is the Dobby Elf, which we already mentioned, and the Myrtle crybaby.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban
In 1999 JK Rowling releases the third part of the adventures of Harry Potter and his friends called “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.” In this novel, Harry is already in his third year at Hogwarts. He wants to visit Hogsmeade, the village whose population is comprised entirely of wizards and witches, but for this it is necessary to obtain a special permission from his guardians. To do this, he has to behave diligently, but on the last day of summer break everything breaks down, as well as a trip to the cherished village … Returning to Hogwarts, Harry faces a new challenge. He and his friends have to uncover the mysterious secret of the prisoner, who managed to do almost impossible – to escape from the terrible prison of Azkaban. Who is this prisoner? Why did they imprison him? How did he succeed in a daring and ingenious escape? To all these questions, Harry Potter is looking for answers in the company of constant friends – Ron and Hermione. True, the mystery they are trying to reveal turns to them an unexpected side. It turns out that the prisoner, who was on the outside, creates a mortal danger for the Harry.
Reader’s reviews of the book “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban”
Many fans were not enthusiastic about this new book. “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban” – the book, reviewed in this article, has become the least successful of the first three parts of the magical teenage epic. Readers noted that with each new novel in the books became less magic. He was less in “Harry Potter and the Secret Chamber,” and compared with the debut novel – in the third part is even less. Many people were upset about this state of affairs. But Harry Potter is still good. Reviews about the books and about this good, principled boy were not only dissatisfied, but also enthusiastic. The lack of magic was more than offset by the fascinating adventures in which the characters turned out to be. Often it seemed as if the young wizards themselves were going to meet the danger. Needless to say, it actually happened. Another advantage was the colorful and detailed description of Quidditch. The favorite game of students at the Hogwarts School, which before was introduced casually and without a soul. After the third part, not only the specialists in this game appeared, but also those who sincerely wished that Harry Potter could prove himself better in the following novels. Critics’ comments about books boil down to a single thought: despite some insignificant shortcomings, the author manages to keep interest in the reader and a good literary syllable in every next work.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
In 2000, the fourth book in the Harry Potter series has Harry returning for his fourth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, along together with his friends, Ron and Hermione. Our heroes are 14. The first real quarrel between Harry and Ron. First jealousy. Love and disappointment. There is an upcoming tournament between the three essential schools of magic, with one player selected from each school by using the Goblet of Fire. When Harry’s name is drawn from the Goblet, even though he is not eligible, and is a fourth player in the Triwizard tournament, he is forced to compete in the dangerous contest. The Triwizard tournament ends with a twist, and the victory celebration has not started before Harry is sucked into another battle with Voldemort. Once more, Harry escapes with his life, but the completion of this tale spells a more-than-ordinary situation for the future, due to the fact Voldemort has regained his body (which he had misplaced when he tried to kill infant Harry) and his followers. As the book closes, we find Professor Dumbledore calling the worldwide wizarding community to face together against the dark facet. A big-scale struggle is sure to come.
Reader’s reviews of the book “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”
1) Great teenage characterization
What I like most about these books – and espescially this one – as an adult reader is the characterization of the children as they become teenagers and young adults. They are really believable, from their petty jealousies to the stomach churning desire to get dates. The Triwizard tournament is a bit of a contrivance, but overall, I like the action in this novel.
2) I never get tired of reading it again and again
I absolutely love the Harry potter book The Goblet of Fire. I fell in love with the characters more. I especially loved Cedric and how good and noble he was. If ever there are friendship goals it would be to have a friend like Cedric.
I don’t want to recap this story—enough reviews exist out there already. Yet, I cannot miss the opportunity to express how much I enjoyed this book.
I’m definitely excited to pick up the rest of the series!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is the 5th novel in the Harry Potter collection, written through J. K. Rowling.
Harry Potter is spending another tedious summer with his dreadful Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon when a group of evil creatures called “dementors” stage an unexpected attack on Harry and his cousin Dudley. After using magic to defend himself, Harry was taken to the home of his godfather, Sirius Black, and the headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix. The Order is a group of wizards, led by Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore, dedicated to stop evil Lord Voldemort and his followers. The Order is pressured to operate in secrecy, outdoor of the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Magic, that is headed via the dense and corrupt Cornelius Fudge. This is Harry’s fifth year at Hogwarts, he learns that many in the wizarding community do not know the truth of his encounter with Lord Voldemort. Cornelius Fudge, minister of Magic, appoints Dolores Umbridge, as Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher, for he fears that professor Dumbledore will take his job. But her teaching is weak and her methods are cruel, so Harry prepares a group of students to defend the school against a rising tide of evil.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix has received several awards, which include being named an American Library Association Best Book for Young Adults in 2003.
Reader’s reviews of the book “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”
It was only when I’d reached the height of MY frustration with the book and the near disintegration of happiness at Hogwarts that I realized what JK Rowling was up to. She brilliantly takes the reader on a ride through Harry’s life. Just as he was expecting his 5th year at Hogwarts to be a wonderful escape from the mundanity of the Muggle world, so was I. And as Harry grows more and more frustrated with the Ministry of Magic’s manipulations within Hogwarts, so did I. I completely empathized with everything Harry was going through, and I even became angry with Rowling, thinking, “Why did she do this? Why is she making this happen?” And then I realized what a HUGE message she was trying to convey: The Ministry of Magic (it seems to me) is very much like a governmental force. And in this book, the Ministry become very dictatorial. Even Dumbledore admits to making the mistake of incarcerating Sirius and Harry in their homes for their own protection, and he’s not a party to the Ministry (thank heavens)! The whole book rings with the importance of freedom and being free to make one’s own decisions. But it also speaks about knowledge and secrets, and the need we all have to know what’s going on in our world. I really feel this book is a huge commentary on what’s going on in the real world. It’s almost eerie. And it’s brilliant, and I would recommend it to anyone who has been shying away from it. It will break your heart, it will make you think, it will make you dream and hope, and there are moments (thank god for Fred and George) that you will laugh. It is a fantastic book.
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Prince Half-Blood can help Harry Potter to become the best pupil in the class. To realize the conceived and to learn the latent can help Luck. A loved one can support in times of need. But whether something can save you from treachery, save a loved one from death – this and much more is to be learned by Harry Potter and his friends in his sixth year of training.
Reader’s Reviews of the book “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”
This is my favorite book of the entire series. It is very dark in some places, but the flashbacks into the past in where we learn so much about Voldemort or Tom Riddle are very interesting and engaging. Danger is everywhere. Everything seems to be at risk, and you just don’t know what will happen next. Nothing seems to be safe anymore. There is also a little romance, but tension as well. It’s a pretty big book. A lot of pages to read. But, I was able to read it over a weekend or so with determination. There are so many plot lines in this book, and the pace does not let up from first page to the last page. There are new twists and turns. I cannot reveal without spoiling. This is definitely an excellent book.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
The seventh Harry Potter book. It was just as action packed and mysterious as the other six and everything moves to a decisive battle between the protagonists and the main antagonists of this series of books – the older, more mature wizard Harry Potter and the personification of evil Voldemort. According to the prophecies that appeared in the previous books, after this struggle only one will remain alive. The main intrigue is also in the fact that this time Harry has nowhere to go for help. Dumbledore is gone, but his ghost is present through many of Harry’s actions. Dumbledore’s relative absence from the seventh book is necessary because it allows Harry Potter to take the lead in the final battle against Voldemort and his Death Eaters. He is absolutely alone against the universal evil. Unexpected sides of many characters show themselves. Those who were considered friends, do meanness, and those who were mistaken for enemies, help and support in difficult times. It is worth noting that Rowling expected that the reader will grow and grow up with the protagonist, so with each new novel it not only complicated the language, but also introduced new moral and ethical questions and problems. As a result, in this novel, the boundary between Good and Evil becomes so illusive that it practically disappears. This was Harry Potter’s definitive growing up moment. It’s also a real testament that Rowling gave everyone their crowning moment, even in death. Many old friends return for the final battle of Hogwarts as the series comes to a close. It would’ve been easy to let Harry Potter have all the glory of the final victory. By not doing that, it reinforces Potter’s image as the anti-Voldemort. There’s also something distinctly human about this seventh book. The conflicts conflicts between best friends Harry, Ron, and Herimone lead one to question as to who their true friends are. In between these conflicts, and the ever present question of whose side Snape is on, the final Harry Potter hits a home run.
Reader’s reviews of the book “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows”
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” is a book whose reviews were almost entirely positive. One can not help admitting the author’s unconditional success.
The final book in an amazing series. What can I say that has not already been said…
Let me tell you a story about a small, 11 year old boy. I loved to read and loved fantasy books the most. My school would occasionally hand out pamphlets full of age appropriate books for kids to order. I looked through and came upon a bundle of three books, the first three in the Harry Potter series. Something about the picture or the little blurb about i must have piqued my interest because I promptly ordered them, and devoured them when they arrived. I immediately fell in love with the series and simply could not wait for the next to arrive. As every book came out I quickly re-read all the previous books and the latest (I believe i’m at about 15+ reads on the first). In between every release I eagerly waited and waited for the next. I would go on the website, visit the forums, read through fan theories, talk about them with my sister, who also dearly loved the series. With every wait my brain would go crazy with anticipation for the next.
Finally the last book. So many good memories, so many questions. It felt like a very fulfilling resolution. I was sad it was over, that there was no more to this world that I would every find out about again. But while that did sadden me, I still felt good having read it, having experienced it growing up. Luckily there were those small books about Fantastical Beast, Quidditch, and childrens’ tales, which are small but nice and I would highly recommend them.
